About Me

Nicola Stanley: I am a designer undertaking practice-led research investigating the use of digital media to support independent learning, addressing the problems of professional skills learning and transmission of tacit knowledge. A central feature of my work is the use of video both as an observational tool and as a means of helping covey tacit / experiential knowledge in creative practices. I also undertake freelance video recording for external projects. I am a lecturer in Critical Studies at Sheffield Hallam University and tutor on the Design Thinking course at Open University.
